Man and nature – pervasive pattern
Styles of nature
There are many ways that containers such as flowerpots can be visually matched to their contents. Aside from size, overall shape and colour, a subtle play can be had between the surface decoration on the pot and the shapes of leaves and petals. A rather clever solution is found in this hexagonal pot where each of the six sides offers a differing decorative pattern. One simply needs to turn the pot to consider different relations of delicacy, mass and so forth. One can choose whether to pursue a style that tends to similarity, to contrast, or to games suggested by the visual particularities of seasonal plantings.
